the IMCA Modified checkers on January
28th and February 4th at Canyon
Speedway Park. Smith will take his
momentum to Yuma’s Cocopah Speedway
this Friday and Saturday for the final two
Arizona IMCA series events. Follow him

Brian Poppa Wins $8,000 Lon Skinner Memorial
On September 4th, Jet Mod Driver Brian
Poppa became only the second person
to win three Lon Skinner Memorial
races. Sunday’s win dethroned reigning
three-time defending champion Bobby
Hogge IV and gave Poppa and his Ron
Martin Racing team a huge payday,
taking home $8,000 for the win.
